Kaiapoi Family Doctors offers maritime medical assessments with Dr Simon Morley, a Maritime New Zealand-approved medical practitioner.
Maritime medicals are available to
both enrolled and non-enrolled patients who require an assessment for work in the maritime industry.
We offer Maritime Medical appointments to enrolled and non-enrolled patients.

Maritime Medical appointments are available Tuesday to Friday with Dr Simon Morley.
Simon Morley is a Maritime NZ Approved Medical Practitioner (AMP) that can do Initial or Renewal of a Maritime NZ STCW or STCW-F medical certificates.
The appointment is approximately 1 hour in total, consisting of:
- 30 minutes with our nurse
- 30 minutes with Dr Simon Morley
The cost of the maritime medical is $350 - $450.
